Full Itinerary

Embark on a Pinnacles Day Excursion to discover some of the most breathtaking natural areas along the West Coast. Experience an evening filled with sparkling twilight and wildlife in the Pinnacles’ enchanting natural environment.

Escape the urban environment for a day-long journey to some of Western Australia’s most impressive natural attractions.

Approximately 1.5 hours from Perth, our first pause allows us to stretch and admire the scenery from the Lancelin lookout, known for having Western Australia’s most extensive dune network. These immense, pure white dunes form a striking contrast against the shimmering turquoise of the distant Indian Ocean. Brush off the sand before we head to Nilgen Nature Reserve. This area, rich in both flora and fauna, offers a walk through a vibrant display of wildflowers, including banksias, bottlebrushes, heath, grass trees, and kangaroo paws, all flourishing in their season. Should the flowers be scarce, we’ll visit Hangover Bay, where you can wade in the pristine waters or spot bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.

With our spirits refreshed by the ocean air, we’ll go to Nambung National Park to see the striking Pinnacles desert at sunset. Formed from shells, the Pinnacles are ancient, dating back to when the sea covered this land. The best time to explore is at dusk when the crowds thin and the thousands of limestone pillars emerge from the desert sands, the changing light casting otherworldly hues over them, creating a moon-like landscape.

Relish a picnic dinner accompanied by a glass of local wine (all included) as we prepare for a magnificent display of natural beauty under the night sky. As darkness envelops us, prepare to awaken by the celestial beauty of stars and planets above. Absorb the ancient Aboriginal Dreamtime stories while gazing into the depths of the universe.
