Full Itinerary

Explore the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park on a journey day trip from Darwin and witness the magnificence of Australia’s largest terrestrial national park.

From Darwin, our journey takes us to Kakadu National Park, which spans over 20,000 square metres and boasts diverse landscapes and lush floodplains. The park teems with native plants and animals and holds great cultural importance with its Aboriginal rock art sites.

The first stop on the itinerary is the Adelaide River, where visitors can join the thrilling Jumping Croc Cruises or visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Centre, which is situated on the traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people. The reserve, actively managed by the indigenous community, is a fascinating place to observe the diverse wildlife of the Top End. The centre is home to various native bird species, turtles, water pythons, and saltwater crocodiles.

At the Bowali Visitor Centre, you can explore this region’s rich Aboriginal art, culture, history, and significance and have lunch at your own expense. We also stop at Cahills Crossing, a dangerous body of water that serves as the only road connection between Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land, to observe crocodiles.

Afterwards, we reach the World Heritage Listed site, Ubirr, and go on a guided walk through this sacred site that contains some of the world’s oldest and most well-preserved rock art.
